Sellouts is a collaboration with 10,000 independent music creators to design & mint 10,000 individualized, collectible, carbon-negative NFTs that commemorate the music of each artist.

Sellouts is free for musicians, who will receive 80% from the first sale of their NFT, and 10% from resales.

What’s an NFT?

Digital collectibles that live on a blockchain.

What’s a blockchain?

Think of it as a big database in the sky that anyone can write to, but nobody can delete from.

Does it cost anything?

No.

Artists receive 80% from the first sale of their NFT, and 10% from resales. How do I make one?

Click the “Design your NFT” button.

There are around 300 different traits of varying rarity, as they come and go. Who buys these?

Friends, fans and collectors who want to support independent music and potentially hold value.

How do people buy them?

All 10,000 Sellouts will become available for purchase ($60/ea) on Nifty Gateway via random drawing on December 15th, 2021. Nifty Gateway is an artist-friendly platform that has pledged carbon-negative minting (info).

How do I get paid?

If someone buys your NFT, money (USD) goes into your DistroKid Bank, same as your other earnings from DistroKid.

Anything else I should know?

Not that the company can think of. DK made Sellouts to support artists, and make it easy for artists to participate in the wild world of NFTs in a new & unique way.
